My Name is Zane Dalton. I am an aspiring young musician and a Music Tech student at River Hill High School. I have loved to make music ever since I could get my hands on a computer. I joined Music Technology class with Mr. McCready because I wanted to enhance my skills and learn more about the industry. So far it has been great! I love creating the songs we make in class. Check out some of my compositions by clicking the button at the bottom on the far right!
My dad is mainly responsible for getting me into music. When I was little, he introduced me to many of my influences that I still look to for inspiration today. If you would like to see some of my influences, click the button at the bottom in the middle! He and I share a lot of the same tastes in music. As I grew older, I started to compose my own music on piano. I didn't take piano lessons, but I learned to play a few songs on my own and eventually I began writing my own songs. I realized, "Hey, I'm pretty good at this!" (Not to brag) Then, when I was probably around 9, I discovered the magic of GarageBand, and I was instantly hooked. Ever since then, I have used several different DAWs to make my music. I find making music on the computer very fun, because I'm literally drawing sounds!
